The minister of Marine & Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola CON announces US lifting of 12years COE on Vessel travelling from Nigeria to the United State

The lifting of the CoE {Condition of Entry} of Nigeria, it will speed up vessel movement helping vast scheduling of ship. Therefore, reducing cost for additional documentation, inspections, secure checks. With this great milestone or achievement Nigeria ports will become more lucrative for international market.
Before the lift vessels trading Nigeria and the United States were strictly on more security and operational requirements ship has to undergo scrutiny before entering United States waters, restriction started on June 25, 2014.
Over the past two years the United States Coast Guard conducted four strict assessments of Nigeria national security framework on facilities in port from;
March 11-13, 2024
April 15-19, 2024
March 15-21, 2025
April 13-17, 2026
With these assessment Nigeria maritime has made a positive implementation on security and ISPS Code making the positive call for the lift.
