Water Ballast Tank

Enclose space filled with sea water to balance the ship when there is no cargo. It has an entry point. The oxygen content is low, before entering, the WBT hatch/cover must be opened to ventilate properly, check with portable gas detector to know the oxygen content; the required percentage is 19.5% to 23.5%. Enter with a portable gas detector, flash lights and VHF radio. The water in the tank has been deballast meaning taking out, work permit must be prepared and signed, a watch man to be present to report the situation of those in the tank to bridge.
