Ship to Ship operation STS

For ships with large gross tonnage and small tonnage to alongside each other to load the daughter vessel need to carry fenders to avoid accident during rolling and pitching of the ships. A cylindrical tube filled with air, with chains, shackles and tyres to give balance is called fender.
