As the name implies are spaces that are closed or partly closed with limited entry and exit. Theses spaces or tanks do not have sufficient oxygen but filled with toxic gases that that are harmful to human. That why before entry the following are considered entry permit by a responsible officer, toolbox meeting, risk assessment to be carried out on potential hazards, ventilation with mechanical equipment, atmospheric testing of the space or tank from time to time when it's up to 21%, it is ready. Note with 21% gas detectors are to be carried because the gases are odourless and can be hidden. PPE are to be on standby stretcher, tripod, BA and spare, flashlights, and head lamps. Look out man with portable VHF radio.
